PEARLS OF WISDOM

I hope you all enjoyed my series on "How I Met My Husband." I posted the last part on Tuesday. If you missed it, check it out here. My desire in sharing how we met was to show the importance of patience, trust, prayer, and putting God at the center. If you are single, please know God hears the cries of your heart, and He will be faithful!. I encourage you to start placing your future spouse in the hands of God by starting to pray for them NOW. I can't tell you how many novenas and rosaries I prayed for years before I met Casey, and man, did it pay off! :)

Any exciting plans for the weekend? We are going to the Del Mar horse races and a wedding. It should be a jam packed fun weekend! Enjoy yours!

Happy Friday! Thanks for reading! XO

PEARLS OF WISDOM & A PRAYER

If you are currently in a relationship, I have a prayer for you. When Casey and I were dating this is one of the prayers I use to say each night before I would go to bed. This prayer is a great reminder to center your relationship back to God with our beautiful Mother Mary's powerful intercession. I highly recommend including it in your personal prayer time, and to pray it together as couple.

Remember, O Most Blessed Mother,
that never was it known that anyone
who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help,
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.

Inspired with this confidence,
unworthy as I am of they protection,
in the presence of God the Father, the Author of Life,
of God the Son, Who gave marriage the dignity of a sacrament,
of God the Holy Ghost, Who sanctified marital love,
I entrust my courtship to thy motherly protection.

Guide me in the choice of a partner.
Keep my courtship pure and chaste.
Bless our union with a holy love.
Watch over us from Heaven.

Send us grace to live in the favor of God
and to share in the eternal love
in which we shall all be united forever in Heaven.

Amen.

Happy Thursday! Thanks for reading! XO

PEARLS OF WISDOM...and a funny story :)

Friday is here, which means it is the WEEKEND! Guess what I am doing this weekend?! Unpacking...Blah :( Hopefully we will finish though, and kick this moving thing to the curb. So. Over. It.  My plan is to have more exciting adventures to share next weekend.

{Funny story of the week}
It was Wednesday morning. I was taking a shower at the new house. Minding my own business, when all of a sudden a loud noise started ringing throughout the bathroom, like ear wrenching noise

Me, being the dramatic person that I am, started thinking the absolute worst. These are some of the thoughts that rushed through my mind, "Did the pipe burst?" "Is our house going to flood?" "Or wait, is that the fire alarm?" "IS THERE A FIRE?!" Luckily, I didn't have any more shampoo in my hair or soap on my body, so I sprinted out of there as fast as I could.

The noise got louder as I left the bathroom since it was the fire alarm in our bedroom going off (insert small panic attack). I quickly scanned the house and did NOT see a fire in site (Thank God). I called the husband who was already on his way to work, and told him, "Oh my gosh, the fire alarm is going off!" Before I could say anything more, he said he was on his way back home (My hero).

In the end, the battery was just running low, and I guess the stupid thing wanted to scare the bejesus out of me to let me know. Talk about a wake-up call! The battery has been replaced, and hopefully we are good now. Nothing like a good ol' fire alarm scare to start your morning :)

Have a great weekend! Thanks for reading! XO

PEARLS OF WISDOM

This Pearl of Wisdom, is echoing the message of the short video included in Wednesday's post. You are beautiful! Know it! Believe it!

This week has been pretty crazy. We got the keys to our new place, and we have been bringing stuff over each night this week. We are exhausted, to say the least. I can't wait to finally be settled, and not be going back and forth, back and forth...

We found out that our new neighborhood has a farmers market, within walking distance, every Saturday morning, AND has food truck Thursdays each week. We are a little excited! Can't wait!

Have a great weekend! Thanks for reading! XO

PEARLS OF WISDOM

This weekend the hubby and I are going HGTV "House Hunters" style. Wish us luck! The quote above is the wisdom I am trying to remind myself whenever I feel angry/sad/denial about the move. My emotions about it can vary by the day, sometimes the hour...Poor husband. He has been so wonderful throughout this whole process. He is kind of the BEST. In my heart, I know God is GOOD, and He has much better things ahead for us. Onward we go!

Have a fabulous weekend! Thanks for reading! XO

PEARLS OF WISDOM

TGIF! I am SO excited for the weekend! I will be speaking at the San Diego Youth Day event called, "Synergy." The hubby will be there as well! Casey is not only an extremely talented architect, but he is also an awesome drummer and plays with the band, Love Resonate. They will be doing the music for the day.

Please keep the 1300 teens attending in your prayers, that they will come with open hearts and hopefully experience God in a new way. Also please pray for the speakers and musicians that God would empty us of ourselves, and use us as vessels of His grace to lead teens closer to Him. Come Holy Spirit!

I will let you know how it goes on Monday! Thanks for reading! XO

P.S. If you would like to have your mind blown, click here.
It is this A.Maz.Ing video an artist made about the election of Pope Francis.
Trust me it is worth it!
