LEGS OF STEEL

I am going to take you back.

All the way back to January 1st. You know, the time when people make all those resolutions for the new year. Well, one of mine, like everyone else in the world, was to work-out more

During the month of January, I did fabulous. I was going to the gym 3 times a week, kicking butt and taking names. February came and I think I went once... Life gets busy, the excuses start, motivation lacks, one week goes by, then two, then three, and pretty soon you feel like it is a lost cause. Since February, that is pretty much what I have been, a lost cause.

I recently started to notice I had a lack of energy and was feeling blah in general, so I decided I needed to recommit myself to this whole working out thing. I knew I could not do it alone, so I recruited the best trainer in California, the Husband :)

The big summer work-out challenge started this week. My goal is to be running 3 to 4 times a week, and by the end of summer, I hope I will be running up to 3 to 4 miles. As much as I am embarrassed to admit this, I currently can not even run 1 mile without taking some walking breaks. My goal next week is to be able to run 1 mile without stopping to walk once. I am sharing this with all of you, so you will hold me to it. If anyone else needs some encouragement or accountability with their summer work-out, let me know. We got this!

  1. Love your asics! Good luck!! I have been trying to find motivation to start running again, but all I seem to find are excuses. Hopefully this will be the spark.

    1. I know exactly how you feel! Even of Day 2, I looked at my husband and was like, "Do we have to?" Having a friend to hold you accountable is key! Hang in there! You can do it! :)
